Cannabis

Did you know that cannabis can cause a person to loose their focus on things and events around them?

It makes others more aware of their surroundings and of physical sensations.

These different changes are caused by a drug within cannabis which affects the brain. This chemical is called THC (tetrahydrocannabinol – Wow! Try saying that quickly!).

THC weakens short-term memory, which is one of the reasons it is so bad to use this drug. If you are using cannabis and trying to study for exams or doing anything that requires you to use your memory, then your brain may not register the things you are trying to learn.

Cannabis is one of the most commonly talked about drugs. Many people want to legalise it. Some people want it legalised for medical purposes while others want it legalised for general use in society.

To talk to someone about this, click on "LIVE HELPER" between 1pm and 3pm Monday to Friday.
